1. When entering the FRP storage tank for maintenance, first close all feed valves, vent and clean the tank. After testing and confirming that there is no toxic gas in the tank and there is no hypoxia, enter the storage tank. Wear soft soled shoes, tie the safety belt, fasten the other end of the safety belt on the tank top, and pay attention to the ventilation in the tank. The operation inside the tank must be carried out by personnel under the monitoring outside the tank.
2. To prevent tools and instruments from damaging the tank wall, use ladders and metal parts, and add soft pads at the contact part of the tank wall to protect the inner wall from being scratched and bruised.
3. Before climbing, the external ladder, cage and guardrail of FRP storage tank shall be carefully checked for safety and reliability. It is strictly prohibited to climb in case of abnormalities.
4. During maintenance, do not load at will on the tank top, and do not apply external force on the connecting pipe.
5. FRP storage tanks used outdoors will cause peeling of resin layer or exposure of fibers due to aging of outer surface layer after years of use. It is suggested that paint or resin should be painted on the outer surface of the tank every two or three years to prevent aging and prolong the service life.
In the maintenance process, pay special attention to safety issues. The FRP storage tank can be repaired only after all equipment is checked.
